Eli Vander Laan is a junior at Wylie E. Groves High and is in his second year of Journalism. Vander Laan has written about issues concerning students at Groves in the past, and hopes to continue writing stories like that, and also write sports articles in the future. He is a member of the Groves Cross Country, and Tack and Field teams, and also participates in Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) and National Honor Society (NHS) at Groves. Vander Laan spends his free time watching sports and reading mystery novels. After high school he hopes to travel the world and to pursue a career in sports media.
