Olivia Rodrigo stopped midway through her concert in Detroit, MI to perform the songs “logical” and “enough for you” on a floating purple moon. These two songs contrast with this article because the songs are ironic since some states are being illogical and think that women aren’t “enough” to receive reproductive health care.

Olivia Rodrigo has recently announced a new initiative in support of reproductive rights, launched in cooperation with her GUTS World Tour. The “vampire” singer took to her official fan page’s TikTok to share the launch of Fund 4 Good, which she described as an initiative that supports all people seeking reproductive health freedom.

It’s “brutal” out there in states where abortion has been restricted. So as a part of her tour, Rodrigo has decided to provide concertgoers with free Plan B pills and condoms, to help out those who cannot afford the full cost of contraception and reproductive care.

At concerts across the country where abortion is restricted, Rodrigo fans didn’t expect to go home with some free emergency contraceptives. But at tour dates in Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, and many more states where reproductive health care is restricted, Rodrigo wanted to make a statement that people should have resources and access to reproductive health. The initiative received a largely positive response, but, as with anything pertaining to abortion, also provoked a swift backlash from more conservative leaning people. Rodrigo’s action is significant because it helps provide resources to people who don’t typically have that luxury.

Rodrigo has also pledged to donate a portion of her ticket sales from each show to local abortion funds. She has partnered with the National Network of Abortion Funds which is a non-profit made of up 100 abortion funds across the country that help minimize economic barriers for people seeking reproductive health care including assistance with abortions, finding adoption services, and childcare.

This isn’t the first time Olivia Rodrigo has championed reproductive rights. Before the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Rodrigo paused a concert while on her SOUR tour in Washington D.C. to criticize a leaked draft of the Supreme Court’s possible decision.  And in a video posted on Rodrigo’s Twitter, she expressed her devastation of the overturning of Roe v. Wade when she took the stage at England’s Glastonbury Festival. She paused during the festival to describe how “terrified she is that so many women and girls are going to die because of this decision”. She then dedicated her next song to “the five members of the Supreme Court: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, we hate you!”

All of her supportive fans are looking forward to following the rest of the GUTS Tour and seeing the impact of Fund 4 Good. “good 4 u”, Olivia Rodrigo!
